The HMG im looking at is last years model, with Fuji Alconite Guides and a Lifetime Warranty. The Premier im looking at is the current model, with Batson Aluminum Oxide Guides and a 5 year Warranty.
WebThe Fenwick HMG is also a good option. For closer to $200 I like my Dobyns Sierra, but I haven’t had any experience with the Curado line but I’ve heard decent things for sub $200 options. The Fig Rigs are a Minnesota made rod that sells in the $100.00 range. I've never fished with a St. Croix or G. Loomis but I would think that they are also good rods.
